This 7-minute film was created in 36 hours as part of the Demon Chaser contest and the Salty Horror International Film Festival. The team is given a horror genre and required prop and line of dialogue on Saturday morning, and turn in the finished film by Sunday evening. I had a few hours to score the short while sound design and color correction were underway elsewhere. Director Thom Rockwell, whom I had met on our award-winning 48 Hour Film Project entry Eggsistential Issues asked for hints of certain horror scores and The Planet of the Apes which I reflected a bit of in the percussive outdoor scenes, like the clip above.
